Championship playoffs

As the regular season has come to an end, the East Fishkill Girls softball league had an amazing set of playoffs series in each division.  Two of the divisions had to play the decisive game 3 in a winner take all game.  All the girls should be very proud of the play and great games they gave the plenty of fans that came to watch.

Rookies- The battle between the Blue Jays and Jaspers was intense with the Jaspers take game one and the Blue Jays come back to take game 2, so off we went to a final game 3 that was a close game throughout with the Blue Jays coming on top and taking the championship.  A great series played by both teams.

Juniors- The battle between the Wildcats and Flash were so close that either game came down to the last inning.  The Wildcats took game 1 with the Flash coming from behind in the last inning to take game 2. The final game 3 would see the score go back and forth with the Wildcats coming out on top and taking the junior championship.  This was a great series and an exciting 3 games.

Seniors- In the battle of the seniors we saw the Inferno take on the Panthers… This series went 2 games with the Inferno winning over the Panthers to become champions of the senior division.  It was a great series played by both teams.

East Fishkill Summer All Stars - 14U

The 14U summer all star team had a very good year. The team comprised of a mixture of returning girls from last year with some new players joining the team this year.
We participated in the WPBA 14U North division in which the girls compiled a record of 11-2 which was good enough for a first place .
The team also participated in the Guilderland New York 14U softball tournament. That unfortunately did not go as well as we would have liked but I believe the girls still enjoyed themselves.
The team consisted of the following players, Amanda Callahan, Caroline Carlson, Samantha DeCosta, Angela Graboski, Deanna Jacobs, Vanessa Jacobs, Tara Kelly, Alana Kroner, Samantha Kugler, Marianna Palomba, Shannon Salem, Rachel Siller, Nina Simms, Alysha Winters. Also a special thank you to Kelsey Kreutzberg who played with us in the Guilderland tournament.
Thanks to my coaching staff, Maryellen Sinclair, Nicole DeCosta, Artie Kroner and Jenn Bess for making this a very good summer. Also a big thank you to Jake and Curtis for all your help, along with the parents we had a great summer!

East Fishkill Summer All Stars - 10U

The 10U summer all-star team had a very good year. The team comprised of all new players joining the team this year. A great group of girls were selected for the team and over the season the girls worked hard in practice and the hard work showed in games.  During the season the girls came together  not only as a team but as a softball family.  We competed in the WPBA 1OU division and played against many great teams from all over the area. I am very pleased to say the East Fishkill 10U girls went a long way together and ended up in 4th place for the summer league in the 10U division.  I along with the team are looking forward to the fall season.

During the summer we were able to play in two tournaments, one was in South Jersey and the other in our home town of East Fishkill.
The team consisted of the following players, Jaycee Filancia, Mackenzie Cronin, Summer Masiello, Jordyn Howlett, Kelli Ferguson, Christina Cappello, Catherine Tan, Summer Sinno, Sara Snowden, Alyssa Capizola, Pricilla Lomedico, Elaina Wagner and Gaelen Kelly.

I can't express the thrill and excitement I feel and also shared with every single player on and off the field, my girls learned how to lean on each other as one and most of all learned to trust each other on and off the field.

I would like to thank all the parents who helped out during the season and for being such a good support system to me and the players.  I would like to thank The Board of East Fishkill Softball for supporting myself and the team.  I would also like to thank Rookie Director Jason Barone for his help throughout the season and supporting myself and the players.

Thank You East Fishkill for giving me the opportunity to coach a great bunch of girls.

Background Checks

Background Checks are now required for coaches participating in any sport in the Town of East Fishkill. Follow the information in the link below to register and complete the background check. The Town of East Fishkill is funding the cost for the checks. The background check will be good for two years. It must be completed by new coaches before the start of the 2013 softball season. If you were checked and approved in the Spring of 2012 you are good till 2014.

Thank You......The East Fishkill Girls Softball Association.

In addition, all coaches are required to obtain ID cards from the Town of East Fishkill. Once the background check is cleared, the ID card can be made at the Building at the Lime Kiln Recreational Facility.
